Hilary returns at Allentown

Teen pop and film star Hilary Duff will return to the Allentown Fair Aug. 31.

Duff last performed at the Grandstand in 2005 when she was 17, singing such Top 40 hits as ‘So Yesterday’ before a crowd of 9,000. Since then, the former star of ‘Lizzie McGuire,’ has developed into a singer-songwriter, co-writing all the songs on her new CD, ‘Dignity,’ featuring the singles ‘With Love’ and ‘Stranger.’

Duff’s acting career has taken off, as well. She has two projects scheduled to be out this year — the film ‘War, Inc.,’ with John Cusack, Sir Ben Kingsley and Marisa Tomei, and an animated feature, ‘Foodfight.’

Tickets for the Aug. 31 concert go on sale on June 16. They are $50 for reserved seats and $45 for general admission seats.
