The lineup for the 75th Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo was announced earlier this week and Hilary Duff is not on it.
Hilary Source reports that Hilary was one of the most popular acts at Rodeo Houston the past two years. In 2005 she set an all time Rodeo attendance record of 72843. She followed up that performance with another sold out show in 2006 that 69716 people attended.
Despite her high attendance marks, Hilary’s presence at the Rodeo was not without controversy. Several animal rights activists were mad at Hilary for performing at the rodeo, claming that the Rodeo Houston is cruel to animals. It is unclear if Hilary’s decision not to perform at the 2007 Rodeo was influenced by these people.
Some of the stars that will be performing at the rodeo this year include Natalie Cole and Kem, the Cheetah Girls, Hannah Montana, Josh Turner, Sheryl Crow, Martina McBride, Sugarland, Toby Keith, and Beyonce.
Now, Miley Cyrus (aka Hannah Montana) has caught my eye… with the budding Hilary and Miley comparison, do you think this has something to do with why Hilary’s not part of the Rodeo roll???
