Clean your pearly whites while bopping through Hil’s tunes!
Hasbro, the toymaker, has created ToothTunes, a toothbrush for children that plays a tune for two minutes, the length of time dentists generally recommend for brushing.
The system works without speakers or headphones by using bone conduction as the child presses the bristles against his teeth, Hasbro says. The music is then heard in the inner ear.
A single song is supplied for each brush. Power is supplied by three bundled AAA batteries that are included.
Songs and artists include “Let’s Get it Started” by Black Eyed Peas, “Wake Up” by Hilary Duff and “Canned Heat” by Jamiroquai from the soundtrack of “Napoleon Dynamite.”
The suggested retail price is $10. ToothTunes are being sold at a variety of stores nationwide, such as Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, Target, Kmart, Meijer and Toys ‘R’ Us.
There are also online retailers listed at www.toothtunes.com.
